Dru Wallon, IESNA, LC
Dru Wallon joined enLIGHTen Ltd, LLC at its inception in 2003. She initially received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tulane University with a minor in Studio Art in 1993. Following a move to Telluride, she assisted in the formation of Black Diamond Partners, LLC, a local interior design firm, in 1996, as the office manager.
In the fall of 1999, she left to attend graduate school at the Savannah College of Design in Savannah, Georgia to study in a graduate interior architecture program. While in Savannah, she worked in a national lighting fixture boutique, Circa Lighting.
After two years, her interest in lighting led to the Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, and in 2002 she received a Masters degree in Architectural Lighting Design from its school of architecture. During her time at Parsons, she worked for a professor in a New York City based firm, Tillett Lighting Design, which has been commissioned by world renowned architects, the City of New York, Ivy League universities and high-end residences.
Just before moving back to Telluride to form enLIGHTen, she worked as an applications engineer for elliptipar, a well respected manufacturer of asymmetrical luminaries, assisting in product specification. In the fall of 2003, she received an LC (Lighting Certified) credential from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions.
Since her return, Dru has been overwhelmed with Telluride’s embrace of lighting design and thoroughly enjoys sharing the creative potential of well-planned, highly-engineered lighting with our clientele. In her spare time, Dru relishes a favorite local, natural phenomenon – the evening alpenglow of the Telluride mountains.
